The TRU-BEND Overflow Weir maximizes upstream water storage in CSO applications, reducing overflow frequency and preventing backflows. Its passive, flexible design can be easily adapted to new or existing systems.
The TRU-BEND Overflow Weir system increases upstream storage in CSO applications. It releases excess water only once the upstream water level is reached, preventing overflow and fully utilizing storage capacity. This system reduces overflow frequency, improves water quality, and prevents backflow by staying closed during normal conditions.
The TRU-BEND system installs along the entire length of the weir opening. It pivots at the bottom and opens at the top. Counterweights adjust the water level, allowing the system to adapt to changing flow conditions. If higher flows occur, the TRU-BEND opens fully, functioning as an emergency overflow. An inclinometer continuously monitors water levels, ensuring optimal performance and overflow management.
The TRU-BEND is available in sizes such as GSB-30 (12 inches of storage) and GSB-100 (40 inches). Its modular design allows for units up to 20 feet (6 meters), making it adaptable to various applications and tank sizes. The TRU-BEND overflow weir requires no control, although its operation can be monitored by an inclinometer. Upstream and downstream water levels can also be monitored.
