The ACU-SOL Solar-Powered Regulator provides precise flow control in CSO and SSO systems, adjusting from 32 gpm to 4,000 gpm. The system runs on solar energy with a back-up battery, featuring automatic self-flushing to clear blockages.
The ACU-SOL Solar-Powered Regulating System ensures precise flow control in CSO, SSO, and batch plant effluents. It operates within a flow range of 32 gpm (2 L/s) to 4,000 gpm (250 L/s) and can handle water levels up to 40 feet (12 m). Overall, the system runs on solar energy, with a back-up battery for reliable operation without needing an electrical connection.
The ACU-SOL Solar Regulator maintains a constant discharge by adjusting the opening of the radial gate in response to upstream water levels. Ultrasonic water level sensors monitor the water level, enabling the system to adjust accordingly. During low flow periods, the pivoting radial gate remains fully open, while increased flow causes the gate to adjust, ensuring consistent flow.
The ACU-SOL is equipped with a self-flushing mechanism that automatically opens the gate at specified intervals to clear any blockages. After clearing, the system resumes its regulating function, ensuring continuous operation. The system is pre-calibrated before shipping, and future flow adjustments can be easily made on-site using the control panel.
