IQ SensorNet VARiON® Plus Sensor

The VARiON ISE probe, part of the IQ SensorNet system, delivers continuous and reagentless monitoring of ammonium, nitrate, potassium, and chloride simultaneously. Utilizing precise and reliable electrodes, this probe ensures accurate measurements for various wastewater applications.

Accurate and Reliable Measurements The VARiON measures ammonium and nitrate along with one compensation electrode (potassium or chloride). The potentiometric measurement by ion-sensitive electrodes provides stability and accuracy over extended periods, making it ideal for nitrification/denitrification monitoring and process control.

Cost Savings With individually user-replaceable electrodes, the VARiON minimizes maintenance efforts and ownership costs. These electrodes have a typical lifetime of 18 to 24 months and come with a 1-year warranty, offering a cost-effective solution for continuous monitoring.

Smart Technology The VARiON’s digital probe automatically recognizes electrodes, simplifying setup and ensuring seamless operation. This smart technology enhances user experience and boosts efficiency in monitoring processes.

Comprehensive Measurement Capabilities

• Ammonium (NH4-N): MR1: 0.1 to 100.0 mg/L; MR2: 1 to 2000 mg/L
• Nitrate (NO3-N): MR1: 0.1 to 100.0 mg/L; MR2: 1 to 1000 mg/L
• Potassium (K): MR1: 0.1 to 100.0 mg/L; MR2: 1 to 1000 mg/L
• Chloride (Cl): MR1: 0.1 to 100.0 mg/L; MR2: 1 to 1000 mg/L

Enhanced Durability and Protection The VARiON probe is constructed with V4A stainless steel and POM, ensuring robust durability. It is backed by a 2-year sensor warranty and a 1-year electrode warranty. Rated Class I, Division 2 (CID2), the probe conforms to NFPA standard 820, reducing potential effects of fire or explosion in hazardous wastewater locations.

Environmental Adaptability Operating within a temperature range of 32 to 104 °F (0 to 40 °C) and a pH range of 4 to 12, the VARiON probe is designed for versatile environmental conditions. It is waterproof (IP 68) and includes an integrated NTC temperature sensor for temperature compensation.

The VARiON ISE probe integrates seamlessly with the IQ SensorNet 2020 3G controller or the IQ SensorNet 282/284 controller, enhancing wastewater process monitoring and control. With its advanced features, accurate measurements, and smart technology, the VARiON ensures efficient and reliable monitoring for various applications.  The VARiON Plus 700 IQ H (207040Y) requires the MIQ/BB1 module (207 001Y) for operation.
