The HI97710 Portable Photometer measures pH, free chlorine, and total chlorine in water. This compact meter supports field and bench testing for water quality applications. As a result, operators can check essential disinfection parameters with one portable instrument.
Hanna Instruments designed the HI97710 for simple use and repeatable results. Moreover, the meter uses an advanced optical system with a reference detector and narrow band interference filters. This design helps deliver fast and reliable measurements.
Water Quality Testing Features
The HI97710 measures pH from 6.5 to 8.5 pH. Additionally, it measures free and total chlorine from 0.00 to 5.00 mg/L, or ppm. The chlorine method uses an adaptation of the U.S. EPA Method 330.5 DPD colorimetric method. The pH method uses an adaptation of the Phenol Red method.
Because pH affects chlorine performance, testing both values helps operators better understand disinfection conditions. For example, free chlorine shows available disinfectant, while total chlorine includes free and combined chlorine.
Easy Operation
The meter includes a tutorial mode that guides users step by step through measurements. Therefore, it helps reduce operator confusion during routine testing. In addition, the HI97710 requires no warm-up time before taking a measurement.
The unit also includes auto logging and GLP features. Furthermore, CAL Check validation allows users to verify meter performance with certified standards.
