Custom designed flocculation needs. Energy is transferred into water through the use of paddle wheels which promote particle agglomeration to form large, fast-settling floc particles.
The gentle stirring action of paddle flocculators promotes collisions between coagulated inlet solids to form large floccs that greatly enhance the settling properties of in the inlet solids. Flocculation basin walls must be designed to prevent hydraulic short circuiting. Flocculation is best achieved by tapering off the velocity gradient through three separate stages of flocculation as higher gradients can shear floccs as they increase in size
